At Mosaic, we are thrilled to announce that we have been nominated for the prestigious Best Agency Culture Award at the European Agency Awards. This recognition is not only a reflection of our success as a team but a testament to the progressive, collaborative, and supportive environment we have worked hard to cultivate.

From flexible working hours to an emphasis on personal development, we have made it our mission to create an agency where our employees feel empowered, valued, and excited to come to work each day. This nomination represents a significant milestone for us as an agency, and we couldn’t be prouder to share our journey.

A Culture Built on Flexibility and Growth

At Mosaic, we understand that every individual has different needs, so we’ve built flexibility into our working model.

Team members can choose their hours between 8 am and 6 pm, and remote working is always available when requested. This approach has allowed us to balance productivity with well-being, enabling our employees to work when they feel most productive.

By fostering this flexibility, we’ve seen a rise in team morale, with staff members feeling more in control of their time and better equipped to deliver exceptional results.

However, flexibility is just one aspect of our culture. Personal and professional growth are equally important to us. This year alone, two team members achieved Google Ads certification, and both are progressing through Facebook Ads certification as well.

In addition, six staff members have requested to attend various networking events and seminars, demonstrating how our culture of continuous improvement has inspired a deep desire for independent development.

In the words of our CEO, James Murphy:

“This nomination is a huge honour for us. At Mosaic, we’ve always believed that an empowered team is the foundation for great work. This recognition shows that we are on the right path, creating an environment that’s not just focused on productivity but also on personal fulfilment and growth. Seeing our team thrive and take ownership of their development is the most rewarding part of leading this agency.”

Rebuilding Unity and Cooperation

After expanding our office to a second location, we faced the challenge of maintaining unity across departments. However, our dedication to fostering a collaborative environment helped us rebuild those connections—and the results speak for themselves. Productivity is higher than ever, and cooperation between teams has never been stronger.

Our development team, for instance, who once hesitated to participate in social videos, now proactively approaches our marketing team with new creative ideas.

This collaborative spirit extends beyond the workday. Our team regularly discusses career pathways and personal development at social events, supporting and encouraging one another to pursue the training and development opportunities that excite them. This genuine interest in each other’s growth is a hallmark of our company culture.

Our CTO, Jon Halliday, sees this as a critical driver of our success:

“We’ve built an environment where creativity, innovation, and collaboration are encouraged at every level. As a tech-driven agency, having that cross-departmental cooperation and openness to share ideas has been a game changer. It’s refreshing to see our developers and marketing teams brainstorming and learning from each other. That kind of energy is contagious, and it’s one of the reasons we’ve continued to grow so rapidly.”

Recognising and Rewarding Team Efforts

At Mosaic, we believe that recognition is key to maintaining a positive and engaged workforce.

We’ve implemented a number of initiatives to ensure our team feels appreciated, from simple gestures like giving employees their birthday off and early finishes on Fridays to more structured reward systems.

For instance, our kudos system allows each department to recognise the achievements of other departments on a weekly basis, creating a culture of mutual respect and appreciation.

Additionally, we’ve introduced a “Team Player of the Month” vote, with the winner receiving a permanent trophy and small prizes to commemorate their contributions.

These efforts to recognise and reward the hard work of our employees have paid off, with team members feeling more connected and motivated than ever before.

The introduction of extra work outings, on top of our monthly social events, has also helped strengthen team bonds, particularly during busy periods when opportunities to connect might be limited.

Our Sales Director, David Tasker, believes this culture of recognition is what sets Mosaic apart:

“At Mosaic, we’ve always focused on creating a workplace where people genuinely enjoy spending time together. It’s not just about achieving targets; it’s about celebrating each other’s successes and pushing each other to grow. This nomination is a testament to the commitment of our entire team, and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of an agency that places such a high value on culture.”

A Culture of Innovation

Our innovative approach doesn’t stop with culture—it extends to the way we work.

Our team’s passion for marketing and development continues beyond office hours, with many employees finding inspiration in their daily lives and sharing new techniques they’ve discovered outside of work. This mindset has allowed us to stay ahead of industry trends and maintain a sharp competitive edge.

Ultimately, our culture of flexibility, recognition, and continuous improvement is what we believe makes Mosaic truly deserving of the Best Agency Culture Award.

We have created a workplace where our team feels empowered to innovate, collaborate, and grow, and that is reflected in the results we deliver for our clients every day.

As we look ahead to the European Agency Awards, we are filled with gratitude for this recognition and excitement for the future.
