The Flywheelers: Building Comms Momentum That Drives Growth and Value

At The Flywheelers, we have a mission. We build comms momentum that makes a real impact on your goals, on your growth, and on your value.

How do we do this? It goes right back to why we’re called The Flywheelers.

Let me explain.

In his book, Good to Great, Jim Collins conducts extensive research to understand what makes a great company that outperforms in its market. What do they do differently to their ‘good’ peers that enables them to make that leap to greatness?

Through his analysis, he introduces the Flywheel Effect. He asks us to picture a heavy flywheel. You push it once and it inches forward. You keep pushing and eventually, it makes one turn. With persistence, the flywheel starts to accelerate until it builds its own momentum.

Just as there is no single ‘push’ that builds the momentum of the flywheel, he uses this analogy to show us how there is no single thing that makes a great company. Persistence in the key areas drives the flywheel forward to create the momentum that accelerates growth and increases value.

We believe the Flywheel Effect applies to building brands too. It takes persistence to educate on the benefits of your offering. It takes persistence to build real connections with the audiences that matter. It takes persistence to make you famous in your market.

At The Flywheelers, we want to help our clients build this momentum. The momentum that hurtles their brand towards greatness.

We have identified the key determinants for building great brands. And working closely with our clients, we apply our Comms Flywheel methodology to help them build momentum that has a real impact on their goals and on their growth.

Persistence doesn’t mean a lack of innovation

But persistence shouldn’t mean rigidity. Understanding what key components will drive growth and value doesn’t mean doing the same activity over and over. We must innovate our approach and seize opportunities to make a greater impact at each turn.

That’s why we don’t lock our clients into rigid scopes of work, like many comms agencies. Instead, our unique Subscription Model approach to comms allows us to offer a high consultancy model.

Where we see opportunities for a different mix of our services to make a greater impact on the flywheel, we don’t need to go into drawn out negotiations based on opaque and/or complicated billing models. We have fixed prices for all of our core services, so we can have a simple discussion about what combination of our services will enable us to best seize that opportunity and we have the agility to shift to deliver it.

Setting the comms flywheel spinning

Our persistent focus on the core elements of our clients’ Comms Flywheel, high-consultancy approach, and flexible service delivery to seize on evolving opportunities, makes The Flywheelers unique.

And it enables us to make a commitment to our clients that we will build comms momentum that will have a real impact on their goals, on their growth and on their value.
